Opened in January 2022, Ottolenghi Chelsea on Pavilion Road is one of our largest delis yet. With a bold terrazzo floor and textured walls, Ottolenghi Chelsea does not have the typical Ottolenghi look. But our signature white corian counters and abundant displays of salads and cakes continue to feature for a distinctly Ottolenghi experience. 


We are open every day for morning coffees, pastries and breakfast, followed by lunch from 11:00am to eat in or take away. Our deli stocks plenty of delicious products from our bakery, along with a selection of exciting low intervention wines - which can also be enjoyed as you eat in.

 

Please note, we operate on a walk in basis so do not take reservations for breakfast or lunch.

Meet our team - Elaine & Saskia Goad

 

Elaine and Saskia are the Filipina wife and wife team that have been instrumental to running our Chelsea and Marylebone delis.

 

Elaine's journey with Ottolenghi started almost 7 years ago. She grew up in Hong Kong, where she fondly remembers sharing dim sum and noodles with her Filipino-Canadian family. She joined us as a kitchen porter but with a culinary degree, her natural athleticism and understanding of food, she was quickly promoted to Commis Chef and then Chef de Partie. Over the years, she became our rising star - the one who can not only survive but thrive in the busiest of kitchens, which led to the role of Head Chef first at Notting Hill, then Marylebone and now Chelsea.

 

Elaine invited her Saskia to come on board with the opening of Marylebone in 2021. Saskia is living proof that you don't necessarily need to have years of restaurant experience to succeed. She learned about hospitality in hair salons and hospitals, where she carried over her skills into a new career with food.

 

In a few years time, this power couple hope to apply everything that they've learned with Ottolenghi and open their own restaurant. With their can-do attitude and mutual trust, we have no doubt that they'll go far!
