Opened in January 2022, Ottolenghi Chelsea on Pavilion Road is one of our largest delis yet. With a bold terrazzo floor and textured walls, Ottolenghi Chelsea does not have the typical Ottolenghi look. But our signature white corian counters and abundant displays of salads and cakes continue to feature for a distinctly Ottolenghi experience. 


We are open every day for morning coffees, pastries and breakfast, followed by lunch from 11:00am to eat in or take away. Our deli stocks plenty of delicious products from our bakery, along with a selection of exciting low intervention wines - which can also be enjoyed as you eat in.

 

Please note, we operate on a walk in basis so do not take reservations for breakfast or lunch.

Meet our team - Nefeli Coulon

 

At her interview with us, Nefeli came across as bright-eyed and food-obsessed - how could we have turned her down?! Two years on, she has delivered on every front, manning the busy breakfast, grill and salad sections at Ottolenghi Islington before joining the opening crew of Marylebone, and now helping to head up the team for the our newest opening in Chelsea.

 

Born and raising on the little Greek island of Aegina, next to Athens, she grew up on an organic pistachio farm inherited by her family and now run by her father, a French ex-photographer. With a ceramicist for a mother and a graphic designer and musician for brothers, being creative was clearly etched into her DNA. After pursuing dance from a young age, she enrolled in a cooking school on a whim and found her calling. She fondly remembers her hotel internship in Addis Ababa, where she mingled with Ethiopian chefs and bonded with them through the universal language of cooking.

 

With her worldliness and natural warmth, she can often be heard learning words in new languages from her colleagues and being extra sensitive to anyone who may be struggling with their English. Nefeli... what a gem!
