The Middle Eastern Table Hamper
If there are 3 ingredients which bookend Middle Eastern cooking – holding it all together – it’s best-quality, flavoursome, Palestinian olive oil, za'atar spice and the crunchy, spicy, nutty condiment dukkah. Add some pita or crusty bread, some tomatoes or balls of labneh and you have the perfect start to any meal.
The condiments are paired with two stunning dipping bowls from French ceramics company Jars (which we use in our restaurants and are much asked after by our customers). A small one for the oil to be poured in to, ready to be dunked in by some bread, and then a larger one for the dukkah, for the oil-soaked bread to be dipped in to. This is both the best way to kick start a meal and the best little gift to kick start Christmas.
